Rules and Regulations
1 - We only accept 12” fashion dolls (Barbie, Fashion Royalty, etc.). If you have dolls with articulated bodies, even better. You can send as many dolls as you want. Remember that they should look like models and not necessarily as beauty queens. They must have a “wow” factor.
2 - You should send a photo of your doll delegate with their name, age, country of origin and favorite fashion designers. Submitting photos is required to avoid repetition. The earlier you can send, the better for your advantage.
3 - They should arrive with the following changes of clothes:
• ARRIVAL OUTFIT- Note that this change has to be scored and is the first time the jury is going to evaluate and we recommend that they have to look impeccable. It can be casual chic or trendy. You can improve the look with accessories.
• BATHING SUIT- It can be one or two piece suit. Include accesories if necessary. The panel will evaluate the whole look.
• COCKTAIL DRESS- This dress should be SHORT, NOT LONG.
We suggest that it has to be flirty and stylish. You can improve it with accessories. Our judges will score this category as well.
• EVENING GOWN- This category is one of the most important in this competition. The dress should be spectacular (Use fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, etc. as reference) Use your imagination to wow the judges. It is the last category that the jury will evaluate.
4 - You do not have to pay any fee to participate. Just send the shipping amount for sending back your candidate(s).
5 - All the doll contestants must be in Puerto Rico no later than December 5, 2009. The contest will be held between late December 2009 to early
January 2010.
